The smallest inhabited island in the world is so small that there is only room for one house, the name of the island is Just Room Enough, which is located in the vicinity of Alexandria Bay in the state of New York.

 

This island is known as “Just Room Enough" which means “an island as small as a shed", which is a worthy name. This island is located in the vicinity of Alexandria Bay in the state of New York and is part of the “Thousand Islands" archipelago. It is interesting to know that this archipelago actually consists of 1864 islands. Counting this piece in the category of islands is only based on the local custom where lands that are higher than the river level throughout the year and can accommodate at least two shrubs or trees are called islands.

 

It was in the fifties that the “Sizeland" family bought the smallest island in the channel and called it “Hub" island. They built a house and a tree in it and named this place “Just Room Enough". This naming shows that their sense of humor was definitely great and to this day they have remained on this island along with the house and the tree.

 

 

 

 

The adjacent island named “Hart Island" is the location of the magnificent Boldt Castle. This castle used to be the residence of American millionaire George Bolt. This mansion is currently considered a local tourist attraction.

 

But regardless of the beauty of this castle, we cannot say that it can overtake “Just Rome Enough", the smallest island in the world.
